Generations of Exceptional Craftsmanship

Established in Durbanville in 1973 by Franco Perotti, Franco and Son Woodwork have built up a reputation for the manufacture and installation of top-quality bespoke cabinets and joinery. It is a reputation built by word of mouth on delivering professional and friendly service to our long-standing clients who do not hesitate to recommend us to their friends and family.

Franco arrived in South Africa in 1965 from the town of Schio in Vicenza, Italy.  He started his apprenticeship at 12 and was a qualified cabinet maker by 18. Seeking new opportunity, he left Italy at 23 to start a new life in South Africa. From his arrival in 1965 to 1973, he worked for various companies, honing his craft before starting Franco Woodwork with just two staff. Franco's son Paolo joined the business in 1992 and the company evolved into Franco & Son woodwork in 1993.

We have worked on a wide variety of projects, both residential and commercial, large, and small. We work closely with interior designers and architects and pride ourselves on our ability to manage projects from design to completion. You will only ever deal with our trustworthy team - no matter how complex or simple your requirement.  All our quality cabinetry is individually made and installed by our knowledgeable, skilled, and experienced team of reliable tradesmen.
